Act of love: lamppost becomes private parking of kindergarten

Parking is often accompanied by frustrations, but a striking parking in the German Wiesbaden provides joy and emotion. “The cutest arbitrary act of love ever”, it sounds to many.

Christie Dietz discovered at the beginning of this week that the lamppost where her 4-year-old son has hung his bike the last year just about every day, has suddenly become his private parking space. Someone posted a special parking sticker on the post with a photo of the green and blue bicycle.

Dietz was so charmed by the action of the noble stranger that she placed a picture of the sticker and the bicycle of her koter on Twitter. “This made our day”, she wrote.

“Sometimes people can be really brilliant.” In no time the snapshot went viral. In the meantime, her tweet already has more than 290,000 likes. “We were really touched by someone who had unpacked such a sweet and cheerful idea”, she tells the BBC. “My son is very happy with the sticker.” The comments on Twitter prove that the sticker does not only turn a smile on the face of the mother.

Some are even moved by so much subtle cuteness. Christie has written a note that she will hang on the now reserved pole for her son as thanks.

“My son has parked his bike by this lamppost just about every day for the last year. This morning, this sticker had appeared. Absolutely made our day. People can be so brilliant. Thank you, whoever did it,” she tweets.
