Argentina: Policewoman promoted to sergeant for breastfeed abandoned baby

At the Berisso Hospital in the province of Buenos Aires, a policewoman made a spontaneous and humanitarian gesture that moved the whole country.

Made public on Facebook by one of his colleagues, the policewoman was several times congratulated and encouraged on Facebook.

The policewoman named Celeste Ayala was on duty when she heard the crying of the abandoned child.

She asked the hospital for permission to breastfeed the child. Moved by this gesture worthy of a person with a big heart, his teammate Marcos Heredia wanted to share this beautiful gesture on Facebook.

“I want to make public this great gesture of love that you had today with this little baby,” he wrote.

“As if you were his mother, you did not worry about dirt and smell. These kinds of things are not seen every day. ”

According to local Argentinian media, the baby was separated from his mother by court order. Only he was delivered to himself by the hospital to such an extent that he started shouting at the top of his lungs.

The post has been shared more than 100,000 times on Facebook. The Berisso Volunteer Fire Department, of which Celeste Ayala is a member, has taken her hat.

“Actions such as this cadet inspire us with pride and drive us to redouble our efforts, work and solidarity with our community.”

At the sight of this beautiful gesture, the policewoman was received by the Minister of Security of the province of Buenos Aires, Cristian Ritondo. She was later promoted to the rank of sergeant. Subsequently invited on television sets, Celeste Ayala says why she helped the little one.

“He was waiting for us to take care of him and obviously had a great need to feed himself, it was a really terrible situation. I felt like doing it to soothe him, so I gave him the breast. I was just human and thought of my little girls at that time.”
