Britons are said to have hoarded £4bn for fear of no-deal Brexit
The British are said to have accumulated reserves of 4 billion pounds in food, drink, and medicines, fearing the consequences of a Brexit without agreement.
According to the British newspaper The Guardian, based on a survey by credit company Premium Credit.
The results of the research revealed that one in five people have already stored extra food, drinks and/or medicines. For that, they would have spent an average of £380. Around 800,000 people would have even bought for 1,000 pounds extra.
Drink
Of those who hoard for fear of a no-deal Brexit, 74 percent bought extra food, 50 percent purchased a supply of drugs, and 46 percent go for drinks.
Analysts expect that if Britain leaves the European Union without an agreement, there might be supply problems for certain goods.
