Burkina Faso: jihadist coalition led by Iyad Ag Ghali claims attacks in Ouagadougou

The  Group to Support Islam and Muslims (GSIM) led by Iyad Ag Ghali claims the double attack that struck Ouagadougou on Friday, March 2.

The information was received by the Mauritanian agency ANI, a channel used by the jihadists and especially by the GSIM.

The terrorist coalition explains that the attack took place in retaliation for the operation conducted in mid-February by French forces in northern Mali on the Algerian border, precisely in the stronghold of Iyad Ag Ghali.

Several of his followers were killed during this operation, including Mohamed Hassan Al Ansari, whom the GSIM would have wanted to avenge yesterday in Ouagadougou, according to the information collected by the Mauritanian press agency.
