Forensic expert who recommended music be set up when cutting Khashoggi

On a tape that got hold of a Turkish daily newspaper, one could hear how a doctor advises to “set up music while special agents cut the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi into pieces”. According to British media it would be for forensic expert Salah Muhammad al-Tubaigy who led the entire bloody operation.

Salah Muhammad al-Tubaigy studied pathology at the University of Glasgow in 2004 and is a forensic expert. Images prove that the man arrived at Istanbul airport on 2 October with a private jet. That was the day when Khashoggi disappeared after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to take the necessary administrative steps for his marriage to his Turkish fiancée.

Audio recordings where the pro-government Turkish daily Yeni Safak could impose a hand, al-Tubaigy link to the murder. On the tape that lasts seven minutes, you can hear how the doctor leads the brutal operation. He was identified by an anonymous source who shared his testimony with news website ‘Middle East Eye’. Al-Tubaigy would have advised the fifteen-strong team of special agents to set up headphones with music to cut the victim into pieces. “That causes distraction during the work”, he has said.

The audio recordings would show that the government-critical journalist was invited by the consul to his office after his arrival at the consulate. There he would have been overpowered by fifteen special agents.

Then he was dragged to a nearby office where he was tortured before receiving an injection with an unspecified medicament. Since then, the voice of Khashoggi has not been heard.
