Crisis consultation

Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry met for the first time since the two indicated a step back.

After the crisis meeting, the queen immediately came up with an unusually personal and informal statement, in which she made it clear that she regrets the situation. “My family had a constructive conversation about the future of my grandson and his family. We support their desire to start a new life. Although we would have preferred them to remain, full-time members of the royal family, we respect and understand their desire to operate more independently and at the same time, continue to be part of my family.”
