India: 11-year-old girl gives birth after being by “raped by 6 men”

An 11-year-old girl delivered by caesarean section after being raped by six men who offered her work.

It was revealed last week that the girl was pregnant more than eight months after the repeated attack in Rajkot, western India. She gave birth to a little girl in the hospital after the revelation of this horrible case.

The police claim that the girl was raped by the group of men who lured her by offering her a job of cleaning their homes.

NDTV reports indicate that the baby is in a specialized unit after suffering health problems.

Police question five men and one teenager about the rapes following his mother’s complaints. They are Nanji Javiya, 67, and Arvind Kubawat, 52, Vijanand Maiyad, 47, Vipul Chavda, 40, and Govind Sakariya, 60, and a 17-year-old who can not be named.

A police officer said, “The condition of the victim is stable. The newborn had some health problems and was admitted to a government-run children’s hospital.”

Her mother, who comes from a poor family, filed a complaint after she was convinced that her daughter was pregnant.

An official said last week: “The girl’s father is unemployed because of poor health and his mother is working as a cleaning lady”.

“She was attracted to them with the offer of money. The case was revealed after she became pregnant for eight months. Initially, the girl hid the incident from her family, but ended up telling her mother.”
