Master KG breaks up with his girlfriend Makhadzi after “Jerusalema”

South African singer Kgaolgelo Moagi alias Master KG and his girlfriend, Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona known as Makhadzi, have ended their relationship. Speculation over the couple’s breakup has arisen after a photo of Master KG and a woman identified as Brunette was leaked online.

The “Jerusalema” hitmaker later confirmed their separation in a post he then shared on social media. The talented artist, who is on the same label with his ex-girlfriend, added that they will continue to make music together, despite going their separate ways. After a flood of questions about the state of their relationship, Master KG told fans they had parted ways amicably to focus on their careers.

‘I never meant to say that, but I had to. Makhadzi and I parted ways, months ago… To focus on our careers… We are still young, and we still have to accomplish great things… I hope everyone understands and respects this… I will not answer any more, nothing related to that. Thank you. I’m glad that we can still offer you music together,’ can be read on Master KG’s post, from Limpopo, as did his now ex-girlfriend.

For his part, Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, known as Makhadzi, also confirmed Master KG’s Facebook post. “Indeed, it’s true, it’s over, our relationship. Please respect our decisions,” she said before continuing to promote her next album.

On the other hand, some of his fans felt his timing was terrible, as it coincided with Makhadzi’s performance at the Lockdown House Party. One of those fans was Matodzi Makhanasisa, founder of the Fame Awards in Limpopo, who said the timing was inappropriate and appeared to have been the author to steal the shine from Makhadzi’s performance.

‘Personally, I think Master KG was selfish about this. Makhadzi had just delivered a crazy performance, which got him trending for all the right reasons. Master KG could have waited 3 or 4 days to make an announcement. I have the impression that he stole the shard from Makhadzi. If this happened months ago, why wait until today on the back of its trending performance. I find the timing rather suspicious,’ reads Makhananisa’s message.
