My boyfriend is mad at me because I don’t ask him for money

The young lady is financially stable, but her boyfriend is furious because she never asked him for money. The young nurse and glocery store owner finds it irrelevant to the issue raised by her boyfriend, but the problem is now turning the relationship upside down.

Below is her story:

I am a 24-year-old girl, and I am currently dating a 30-year-old man. We have been dating for a year and a half now.

I must admit that we really love each other very much. Our love grows and refreshes every day. We two are happy together. But recently, my guy raised an issue, which I find irrelevant and not worth highlighting.

In fact, I am a very independent girl. I work as a nurse, and I also have a grocery store. I am financially stable by the grace of God.

My boyfriend doesn’t understand the fact that I’m not asking him for money. He says that I am too independent and I make him feel useless in the relationship. He wants to spend on me. But I can do it all for myself.

It turned our relationship upside down. He barely speaks to me, he acts as if he is injured when he is with me, and I no longer feel the atmosphere we had.

We talked about the situation, but he remains on his point. He wants me to depend on him, even if I can afford it. And I don’t want that either.

Our relationship is gradually sinking. I really love him.

Any advice for me? Why should he feel useless in the relationship? I need your help, please. What should I do?
