NASA is planning a spacewalk with only women

Space agency NASA is going for a new milestone. On 21 October, for the first time, there will be a spacewalk with only female crew members of the space station ISS.

The two astronauts, Christina Koch and Jessica Meir, will replace the batteries of the solar energy system outside the ISS. Koch was supposed to go on such a spacewalk with another female astronaut as early as March, but shortly before, it turned out that there was no second medium-size space suit available. There is now.

Since the first spacewalk in 1965, 14 women have made such an outing, against 213 men.
