Nigeria: five dead as two female suicide bombers blow themselves up in Maiduguri

Two suicide bombers killed at least five people in northeastern Nigeria, local sources relayed the incident on Monday.

Two suicide bombers set off their explosive belts inside a house and near a mosque in Konduga town, 35 kilometres southeast of Maiduguri in the north-east of the country Nigeria.

According to an official of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the first was blown up near a mosque while the people were preparing for evening prayers and a few moments later, the second explosion took place inside a house.

The death toll is at least three dead and seven wounded, two of whom died during their transfer to the hospital, according to a militiaman.

The attack was not yet claimed but the Islamists of Boko Haram have the same mode of operation.

Announced on weakened by military, the Nigerian Islamist sect, continues to commit attacks in the countries of Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Nigeria.
