Nigeria: Man kill by police because of roadside bribe

In Nigeria, a man identified as Nonso Micheal was shot by metro patrol police as a result of refusal to give them bribe.

A Facebook user, who shared on his wall the incident that happened yesterday, August 7th, in Agulu, Anambra state.

He wrote: “Onyeme Nonso Michael who hails from Odidama village Agulu was shot to death yesterday by Metro Patrol Police at spot close to WAEC office near NAFDAC office Agulu as a result of trying to collect roadside bribe by the police. Though some said its accidental discharge. Only heaven knows.

“We should recall that few years back, that a police man as well shot a guy at Anambra state which saw the demolition of a police station at Nwagu in Agulu, Anambra state.

“This issue is indeed terrible and regrettable. I urge the commissioner of police to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrator(s) to book.

“Rest in peace name sake.

Nemesis will catch up the idiot cos I believe karma is a bitch.”
