Sixth shooting in 48 hours in US: perpetrator opens fire at liquor store

At least five people were seriously injured last night in Shreveport, a city in the US state of Louisiana. A gunman standing in a traffic jam opened fire from a car near a liquor store. It is the sixth major shooting in the United States in just 48 hours.

A few hours after the incident, little is known about the details. According to the authorities, the victims are in very bad shape. Four of them were on the sidewalk, and one was in the shop. They would be looking for a white Ford.

Yesterday, two Hispanic women and a black man died in a shooting in Austin, Texas. An ex-detective who was charged with sexual assault on a child last year is wanted for the facts.

In Kenosha, Wisconsin, three people were killed and three injured in a bar. A suspect was arrested.

In Columbus, Ohio, a vigil for a man shot turned into another tragedy. Occupants of a passing car fired at those present. One woman was shot in the head and died, and five others were injured.

In LaPlace, Louisiana, six were injured at a birthday party for a twelve-year-old child. Detroit (Michigan) completes the sad list, with one dead and three injured as the final balance.

Last week, eight more people were killed in a shooting at a FedEx branch in Indianapolis.
