British actor Chris Obi (51), best known for the Netflix series “Star Trek: Discovery”, has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and rape. He is accused of abusing six students at his home “while practicing love scenes”.
The actor was on his way from Los Angeles to his house in Notting Hill in the British capital when he was arrested by police at Heathrow Airport in London. Chris Obi is accused of having abused and assaulted six different students when they dropped off at his house to get private acting lessons. During the rehearsals of love scenes, the actor is said to have violated the women.
The events took place between July 2012 and August 2018. The British actor shouts his innocence and denies all charges. Meanwhile, he was released under bail by the police.
In the Netflix series “Star Trek: Discovery”, Chris Obi took on the role of T’Kuvma, the leader of the Klingon. He has also appeared in series such as “Doctor Who” and “American Gods”. He also made his appearance on the silver screen: Obi got a role in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ with Charlize Theron and ‘Ghost in the Shell’ with Scarlett Johansson.
Obi was also artistic director of the acting school ‘Actor in Session’. However, none of the facts took place on the campus of that school in the United Kingdom.
