“That’s not naughty, but rude”: Britons spread over the tongue of Princess Charlotte

It was big news that Princess Charlotte, the daughter of Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, held out her tongue to the audience at a sailing competition on Thursday. On social media and on British sites there are, in addition to predominantly positive reactions, also a number of negative messages about ‘the tongue of Charlotte’.

“That’s not naughty, but rude,” someone writes on Twitter. “She should be taught some discipline. It is bad enough that the average child does that, but she is royal and her mother should have given her a reprimand instead of laughing.”

Some know ‘exactly’ where Charlotte’s behavior comes from. “Kate and Wills are her parents. All the bad qualities of their children come from them”, someone writes about the incident. “Another rude child,” someone else writes. “That child has been a small uncultured lady all her life, but hey, blame Uncle Harry,” says another, referring to William’s brother Harry, who once also stuck his tongue out at the press.

At least one bailiff thinks he knows how to tackle little Charlotte. “Throw her in The Tower (formerly the London prison, ed.) To teach her some manners.”
