The effects of the consumption of flour on our health

Flour is 80% a staple in human nutrition. But even today, very few people are aware of the real effects of this product on our bodies.

Studies have revealed what happens when you consume a lot of flour.

1. Depression

An American study showed that carbohydrate consumption is closely linked to depression.

This is due to the sharp fluctuations in the glycemic index that make the hormones react.

This can lead to mood disorders and heavy fatigue.

2. Allergies and food intolerances

Wheat flour contains gluten.

Gluten is a protein that can damage the intestinal lining.

A damaged bowel can create an immune system reaction and lead to food allergy or intolerance.

Besides, it increases the risk of infections of all kinds.

3. Type 2 Diabetes

A study in Finland has shown that the risk of having type 2 diabetes decreases when one consumes less refined wheat flour, and that rye flour is preferred.

The blood sugar level rises rapidly with refined flour, which creates a lot of insulin and, therefore sugar.

Consuming a lot of flour creates insulin resistance and therefore, a risk of suffering from type 2 diabetes.

4. Overweight

The flour contains fibers that delay satiety.

At the same time, the blood sugar level rises sharply and then falls again very quickly shortly afterward.

This can create cravings and lead to food intake too substantial.

Better to focus on whole foods, which feed more and better!

5. Inflammation

Too much flour consumption can also be the cause of inflammation called glycation.

It is often linked to chronic diseases such as arthritis. Because of the substantial fluctuations in the glycemic index, proteins are more challenging to transform into energy, which can lead to various inflammations.
