The fifth and final season of ‘La casa de papel’
The end is in sight for the popular Netflix series ‘La casa de papel’. On Friday, the streaming plat form announced that the recordings for the fifth and final season are over. “We can’t wait to show you how this story ends,” it said on Twitter.
“What started as a heist, ended as a family,” the statement says. The photo that accompanies the post also shows the cast of the series. They are all wearing their famous red overalls and in the middle is the famous El Profesor. “Thank you to all fans for being a part of La Resistencia. We can’t wait to show you how this story ends.”
Legendary season
The news that the fifth season of ‘La casa de papel’ was also going to be the last, became known last year.
Even then, the streaming platform Netflix announced the news itself. “We’ve been thinking about how to end the story for a year now,” showrunner Alex Pina said in an interview at the time.
“In the fifth season, the war reaches an unprecedented peak, but it is the most legendary season to date.”
Sounds promising, but for fans of the series, it is still a while to wait. A release date for the final season of ‘La casa de papel’ has not yet been announced.
