US intelligence agencies forced to reveal all they know about UFOs

On December 28, the signing of the $2.3 billion financing law signed by Donald Trump actually forced the various American intelligence agencies to publish a declassified report on “unidentified aerial phenomena”, reports CNN. They now have six months to submit it to the government senatorial committee.
The law was slipped into the “committee comments” section, among the more than 5,000 pages of the huge file. The report in question is to contain “detailed analyzes of data and intelligence on UFOs collected by the Office of Naval Intelligence, the Task Force on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena as well as the FBI,” the channel said.
It should also describe the “interagency process to ensure the collection of dated data and centralized analysis of all unidentified aerial phenomena” and identify the potential threat posed by UFOs to national security, claims the commission.
In this regard, former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, Christopher Mellon, said in a tweet that he hoped the new administration would “rigorously execute its oversight prerogatives” in this area, where the “concerns of the public and numerous military have been ignored by the national security bureaucracy for far too long”.
An end-of-term gift from Trump?
In November, when Donald Trump was announced as the loser in the presidential election, calls from ufology enthusiasts multiplied to get “secret files on UFOs” published. Betting on the Republican’s “nonconformism”, they hoped that he would take advantage of the few weeks he has left in the White House to force the publication of these data.
