“You put the dress inside out”: bride criticizes ordered wedding dress but fluttering herself

Tousled, shapeless, discolored, and not the least of finishing: the shabby wedding dress sent to a bride from Louisville, Kentucky, was nothing like the beautiful one she had ordered online. Aubrey sent an angry e-mail to the manufacturer, but they subtly let her know that she had put the rug on… inside out. The 33-year-old woman now shares her funny blunder with the world, hoping to put a smile on our faces.

In these difficult corona times, Aubrey had to order a wedding dress via the internet. But make such an important purchase without being able to try in advance? No, she was not comfortable with that. That feeling did not improve when the lady saw the unflattering end result.

“I was really upset about the looks of it and sent an angry email to the company wanting to return it. I took pictures of me in the dress telling them it looked nothing like what I had ordered,” says the nurse.

However, the company had a surprisingly simple solution in mind. “you put the dress on inside out, please put it on the right way.”

Aubrey could go through the bottom of shame. “Who would have thought that they would send such a wedding dress that way?” She wrote on Facebook.

“After another attempt, I was delighted with it. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much school we put behind us…. we’re still going to lack common sense, like how to put clothes on properly. The least I could do to thank them for “fixing” the problem (me, the problem was me).”

Fortunately, a healthy portion of self-mockery is not strange to her. “I hope they had a good laugh about it at that company. And you can all do that of course. Thank you for being lucky that my name was not on the ballot for the US election. I’ll help save your life, but don’t ask me to help you get dressed. That doesn’t even work for myself.”

Some wondered if Aubrey hadn’t made up the joke herself. “I wish it was true. Unfortunately, I am not that creative,” is the response.

“How could this happen? I blame it on a manifest lack of sleep. Sometimes I work 16 to 24 hours straight as I combine two jobs. In addition, I have absolutely no knowledge of fashion and I do not have to count on my boyfriend. A golden tip in that regard: leave the necking down to the bridesmaids instead of your partner.”
