24 new cases of Coronavirus declared positive in Burkina Faso

The new assessment communicated by Professor Martial Ouédraogo, coordinator of the response to the Covid-19 epidemic, brings the number of confirmed cases in this country to 64.

One person was healed on the same day, five in total, since the presence of the disease in Burkina Faso. The Minister of Mines, Oumarou Idani, announced that he had tested positive.

He is the fourth member of the government to have contracted coronavirus disease, after his colleagues from Foreign Affairs, Alpha Barry, National Education, Stanislas Ouaro, and Territorial Administration, Siméon Sawadogo.

In a speech to the nation, the President of Burkina Faso, Marc Roch Christian Kaboré, declared a curfew and ordered the closure of the borders on Saturday night.
