Ariana Grande refuses royal honour

Ariana Grande (25) was well on her way to receive a royal honour from the British royal family, but refused to accept it eventually.

According to The Sun, the pop star would receive the royal recognition for organizing a benefit concert in Manchester, after the bombing that took place during her concert. But according to sources Grande rejected the honour, because she would find it too early.

With the benefit concert, Grande managed to raise millions of euros for the families who were victims of the bomb attack in May 2017. With old and new, the singer would therefore receive an award from the royal family. But she refuses because she does not want to hurt the feelings of the families that have been hit, and she was afraid it would be ‘insensitive’.

Honorary Citizen

Ariana became an honorary citizen of the city of Manchester. She has spoken more often about the trauma she has suffered, after 22 people were killed by a bomb during one of her concerts.
