Karim Asir is an Afghan impersonator of Charlie Chaplin. He tries to make people laugh in the capital Kabul, so that they ignore their grief. He wants to give them a reason to smile and escape from the harsh reality and continues with it, despite threats.
With oversized shoes, baggy pants, stick and black bowler hat, Karim Asir (25) gives stand-up comedian performances. He already gets threats from different angles because his acts are un-Islamic. But that does not stop the boy, he continues and will continue to act. And that to the satisfaction of the public, because many people love his positive messages.
