Don’t die till strike is over – Mortuary union warns Ghanaians

The secretary general of the Union of Morgue Workers, Richard Kofi Jordan, has warned Ghanaians to avoid dying now. Especially during this period when the morgue staff is on strike, until their strike is over. What an unfavourable outcome.

“Those who intend to die during this time should wait for the mortuary staff to return to work before they die. It’s simple,” he says. Pointing out that the strike already begun will continue as planned. Unless the government takes into account their concerns.

Forensic pathologists in public health facilities protest their poor working conditions and low wages. According to the doctors who claim to be wronged, they are exposed to several diseases. Because of the corpses and chemicals, they come in contact with. But every time they complain, the government seems to be not concerned about their conditions. Reason for which they decided to go on strike to assert their rights.
