Earthquake with strength of 5.3 affects Greece

Greece was startled by an earthquake with moderate strength this morning. The epicentre of the quake with a force of 5.3 lay, according to the geophysical institute in Potsdam, southwest of the island of Zakynthos.

The US earthquake observatory (USGS) says the epicentre is located near the municipality of Mouzaki in the Thessaly region.

There are currently no reports of possible victims or damage. Last week there was an earthquake with a strength of 6.4 at the island of Zakynthos. That earthquake could be observed in a wide region.
