Members of Hamas’ military wing struck an Israeli chemical plant. The plant is located near the border with the Gaza Strip. This was reported on Friday, May 14, by representatives of the Palestinian Hamas movement Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
According to several Palestines media, the strike was carried out using a drone. “Al-Qassam Brigades carried out a Shehab drone strike against a chemical plant in Nir Oz,” military wing officials said.
The largest escalation in the conflict in recent years occurred on the evening of May 10. After clashes in Jerusalem, the sides began exchanging rocket attacks.
About 1,750 rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory since the escalation began, with about 300 of them exploding in the Palestinian enclave.
Earlier, army spokesman Yonatan Konrikus said that the Israeli military had already received orders from the state leadership to be ready to enter the Gaza Strip. Earlier, the state security structures said that at the moment, the army is not planning a ground invasion.
