For many people, New Year’s holidays are not only an elegant Christmas tree but also ten days of lazy rest, accompanied by daily eating of many high-calorie delicacies. Follow a few simple tips to stay in shape and not turn into a little round bun during the holidays.
Move more
It is unlikely that you will desire to run to the gym during the New Year’s holidays, but you can stay physically active without it. In order not to gain a lot of extra pounds during the holidays, try to move more: do exercises, for example, while watching a movie, walk, play with children on the street, go ice skating and skiing, and so on. The main thing is not to lie in a layer all ten days, getting up to take another bowl of food.
Exercise in the morning
So that in the evening, nothing distracts you from New Year’s films, parties, pleasant gatherings with loved ones, and other amenities, exercise in the morning immediately after waking up. This will not only help you stay slim, but it will also invigorate and energize you for the whole day.
Don’t stock up on goodies
New Year’s meals are great, of course, but don’t cook too many of them and don’t stock up on goodies for all the holidays, and instead buy more healthy food in advance. This will help you avoid overeating and quickly return to your normal diet with fewer fatty foods and sweets. Eat holiday meals until around January 2, gradually switching to a lower-calorie diet.
Don’t turn holidays into a holiday month
Try not to turn the holidays into an entire holiday month, during which you eat whatever you want every day, sleep until midday, and watch TV shows avidly. Your body will not thank you for such, and it won’t be easy to return to a normal regime after such a rest. So set boundaries for your lazy pastime, and don’t waste your entire vacation on it.
