Inside North Korea: Japan imposes further sanctions on North Korea

After North Korea’s latest missile test, Japan imposes additional sanctions on the country. The government announced this on Friday.

Japanese authorities are freezing the assets of nine people – six North Koreans and three Russians – and four Russian-based organizations. They are said to be involved in Pyongyang’s missile and nuclear programs.

North Korea recently stated that it had successfully tested a new type of long-range nuclear-capable missile that could also reach the United States.

Neighboring Japan is directly threatened by the repeated missile tests.
