The life dream of a British Instagram model ended suddenly yesterday when the woman fell from a spectacular cliff in Sydney after taking a night out while taking a selfie. Madalyn Davis (21) collapsed dozens of meters down and died.
It was going to be the trip of a lifetime when Madalyn left London last year to travel around Australia. The model, which has 15,000 followers on Instagram, died according to police at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the Diamond Bay Reserve in Sydney.
When Madalyn wanted to make a beautiful picture, things went terribly wrong and she plunged more than 30 meters down. Her body was taken out of the water four hours later, lifeless.
Her mother, Rebecca Smith, desperately tried to reach the 21-year-old model on Sunday afternoon. “Has anyone seen Maddie? Please contact me when you went out with her yesterday,” it sounded on social media. However, this morning, the woman confirmed that her daughter died. Friends and acquaintances describe the woman as ‘beautiful inside and out’ and ‘an artist who gave color to this world’.
“Someone will die”
The cliff from which she collapsed is very popular with tourists who want to take spectacular pictures for their social media. “Someone will die”, it sounded in an article in The Daily Telegraph in April this year in which residents warned Instagrammers of the danger.
