After her success in ‘A Star is Born’, Lady Gaga (33) seems to have a taste for it. The singer has gotten her other significant film role, says Deadline.
Lady Gaga will play a role in a film about the Gucci family, from the fashion house of the same name. The singer plays the role of Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci. Maurizio was the grandson of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci and was shot in 1995.
Patrizia was abandoned by Maurizio in 1985 for a much younger woman and was partly suspected of murdering her ex and being tried for this. She was released in 2016 after a prison sentence of eighteen years.
The untitled film is directed by Ridley Scott, who previously crawled into the director’s chair for ‘Blade Runner’, ‘Gladiator’ and ‘American Gangster’, among others. The script is based on the book “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor, and Greed” by Sara Gay Forden. When the film will appear is not yet known.
Oscar
It is her second film for Lady Gaga. Last year the singer scored high in ‘A Star is Born’. She was nominated for the Oscar for best actress and finally went home with the statue for best soundtrack. She received it for her co-written hit “Shallow”, a duet that she sang in the film with co-protagonist Bradley Cooper.
