On May 26, 2017, 2-year-old Juliet and her 16-month-old brother Cavanaugh were found dead in a car parked in the sun in Parker, Texas, during a heat wave.
The mother had explained that her two children had escaped his vigilance for several minutes, before finding them locked in the vehicle.
Then, in custody, she had finally admitted to lying.
She explained that after the trip, Juliet refused to leave the vehicle. Cynthia had lost patience and, furiously, closed the door and locked them up in the car to give them a “good lesson”.
She then smoked marijuana at home and fell asleep in front of a reality show. It was only a few hours later that she woke up and discovered the bodies of her children.
She then made sure to make up this double murder in accident.
The 25-year-old woman was sentenced to two 20-year prison terms, 40 years on Monday.
