The fund in memory of the rapper Mac Miller, who died in September, has already raised 700,000 dollars. The money raised by the so-called Mac Miller Circles Fund is intended for young people in the region around the city of Pittsburgh, where the rapper came from.
According to the entertainment site, half of the money, $350,000, comes from donations from generous fans. The other half comes from a benefit concert that was held on 31 October in honour of the rapper. At the show, entitled ‘Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life’, artists such as Travis Scott, John Mayer and Chance the Rapper also raised $350,000.
Mac Miller died of an overdose on September 7, 2018. He was 26 years old at the time. The rapper was the ex of Ariana Grande.
