Man cancels ninth marriage at the last minute: “I felt no love”

A 71-year-old Briton, known in his native country as the man who married the most, canceled his upcoming marriage with the American trainee nurse Rose Hans (30) at the very last minute. According to Ron Sheppard, ‘series loyal’ annex “Lord of the wedding rings”, the love for the woman, whom he had known for a year but had not yet met, was not deep enough.

Sheppard and Hans announced last month that they would be getting married to much fanfare. The incredibly loyal Briton made a successful proposal to her but apparently continued to doubt her sincerity and his feelings for the woman who had attended a hospital course in the African – republic of Ghana – in recent months.

On closer inspection, it didn’t feel right. I felt pressured by her. She wanted too severely. Then ‘I broke up by e-mail’. She responded that she would call me, but I never heard from her again, Sheppard told the British tabloid Daily Mirror.

In 2017, things went wrong with his ninth marriage, which was then imminent. The wedding of Filipino Cristel Lalec (28) had already been arranged down to the last detail, but the woman suddenly took her bags with another man. “My fiancée looked me in the eye once more and, to my great amazement, announced her departure. I knew it would be a goodbye forever when she said she was flying back to the Philippines”, said a sad Sheppard.

Illegally

The two had been dating since 2015, but in 2017 Lalec heard from the Aliens Police in England that she was in the country illegally. She had to return to the Philippines as soon as possible. According to Parkinson’s patient Ron Sheppard, his future wife was very upset about this. But he didn’t expect her to leave so soon. “When I went to see her apartment, it was all empty.”

The man, who had postponed sex until after the wedding because of his religious beliefs, was still furious with the woman for a long time because he had discovered that the near-bride was also dating someone else. “I did everything for that woman and then she still walked away. Strange, because she always said that love was real and that she didn’t stay with me for other reasons.”

Sheppard, a retired entertainment manager, has been a phenomenon in his country for years. A producer would love to make a Hollywood film about his fascinating life story and eight failed marriages. Now that his ninth course to the altar is canceled, the man has finished getting married for the time being. He is considering writing a book about his marital history. “If there’s an experiential expert, then it’s me.”
