A woman who allegedly celebrates the fact that her husband’s manhood has stopped working faces a divorce suit in a local court.
Marble Jaula, 36, in Chazanga, Zambia, has been brought to justice by her husband, 38-year-old Tembi Jaula.
In his testimony, Tembi told the local court in Matero that when he explained to his wife that he had problems with his manhood, his wife said that God had finally answered her prayers. Both have been married for 12 years and have 5 children together. They had been separated for a year and six months.
Tembi told the court that he suspected that his wife had something to do with her problem because of the way she had celebrated it when the news was announced. He told the court that the problems of their marriage started when they got married because his wife did not want to keep the child he had with another woman.
He says he has already found a woman who understands her situation and is ready to take care of his other child. “I do not love her anymore. I found someone who understands me and will take care of my child,” Tembi said. Marble admitted to having denied the child but added that she had told her husband that she was willing to marry polygamous as long as another woman cared for the child.
Marble said that since their marriage, her husband had married four other women to care for the child, but the marriages had failed.
In rendering her judgment, Magistrate Miyanda Banda rejected the case on the grounds that the price of the bride had not been paid.
