Queen Elizabeth invites mother Meghan to Christmas

The mother of Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, received a special invitation this week. Queen Elizabeth has asked Doria Ragland to spend Christmas with her and the rest of the royal family, Daily Express reports.

It is not the first time that the Queen invites people from outside the family to join the celebration in Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. Kate’s parents also received such an invitation after the marriage between the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William.

Meghan has a very good relationship with her mother. Doria, who cancelled her job in Los Angeles shortly after the wedding of Meghan with Prince Harry, was the only relative of the Duchess at the wedding on May 19th. During that short stay in the United Kingdom, the British royal family would have made a deep impression on the American. She would also consider moving to London in the near future to live closer to her daughter.
