Shoplifter turns out to be an internationally wanted bank robber

Whoever thinks that bank robbers, after their actions, take the first plane to a bounty island, is wrong. Some people don’t even have enough money to buy food at the supermarket.

Last night, when the Rotterdam police reported a shoplifting incident in Berkel and Rodenrijs, the suspect was reported internationally for a bank robbery in Germany.

“Bank robbers are also hungry and thirsty,” writes an agent on Facebook. Supermarket employees caught the man for theft and called in the police. After investigation, it turned out to be the internationally wanted criminal.

It is unclear exactly where and when the bank robbery took place, nor what was stolen. The police write in the message that the man will soon be extradited to Germany, where a long “prison sentence” is waiting for him.
