The CNRD warns: “Alpha Condé will not leave Guinea”

Following rumors about alleged negotiations by ECOWAS to exfiltrate former President Alpha Condé from Guinea, the National Committee for the Rally and Development (CNRD) issued a statement to deny any allegations in this direction.

“The CNRD and its Colonel, Mamady Doumbouya, wish to reassure the national and international opinion that the former President of the Republic, Pr Alpha Condé, is and will remain in Guinea.”

The video statement insists that CNRD “will not give in to any pressure. He will benefit from humane treatment, worthy of his rank, in his country,” underlines Lieutenant-Colonel Aminata Diallo.

Moreover, the CNRD announced this Saturday, September 18, a press briefing to give more details on the situation to shed light on the Guineans.
