UN discovered fifty mass graves in western Congo

In the west of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a joint fact-finding mission of the UN and the authorities discovered more than fifty mass graves after the massacres of mid-December in the region.

“We have identified over fifty mass graves or individual graves in Yumbi in Mai-Ndombe province,” said Abdoul Aziz Thioye, director of the UN Human Rights Office (BCNUDH) in Congo.
