A Brazilian mother lifts recycling to a higher level. Ivone Martins from the metropolis of São Paulo has built her own house with 6,000 discarded glass bottles that she found in landfills in the area.
The one-bedroom apartment with its own kitchen and bathroom is even a bit local-made: here and there a Stella Artois bottle comes out. For extra strength, all bottles were placed on the side and held together with cement.
Ivone now wants to crown itself completely as a recycling champion and is looking for discarders to manufacture the furniture in her bottle house.
