WHO reacts after patient claims being cured of COVID-19 by TB Joshua

The World Health Organization (WHO) reacted to a video by a Cameroonian doctor, Kameni Pierre, claiming to have been cured of the coronavirus by the prophet TB Joshua via his church channel, Emmanuel TV.

The gynecologist and obstetrician who claims to have contracted the coronavirus said that he was cured after calling the prayer line – an interactive broadcast on Emmanuel TV – from the isolation center where he was placed.

According to Peter, he vomited when the Prophet TB Joshua prayed over him and instantly received his healing. He went to retest, and the result was negative.

Asked about this healing in an interactive media session, the WHO Director-General, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, said that faith and science should “go together”.

“We know many pastors who would really advise their followers to follow their faith and at the same time use science. The two do not contradict each other, and they go hand in hand… We are going to call on all pastors to get involved in this fight and to save lives.”

Dr. Michael Ryan, Executive Director of WHO Health Emergencies, for his part, expressed the willingness of the International Health Agency to collaborate with churches like the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) to advance the fight against the coronavirus.

“There is no doubt that spiritual leadership is very important in a time like this,” he said.
