Not unbeatable: Anthony Joshua suffers first defeat in career

American Andy Ruiz junior has given British Anthony Joshua his first defeat in 23 games. In the camp for the world titles at the heavyweights at the WBA, IBF, and WBO unions, he made it to Madison Square Garden in New York, US with a technical knockout in the seventh round.

Andy Ruiz, who has 33 victories and 1 defeat behind his name, became the first Mexican world champion ever among the heavyweights.

That victory came after an intense battle, in which both boxers repeatedly went against the canvas. When Joshua went down again in the seventh round, the referee decided to put an end to it.

Ruiz was the replacement for the American Jarrell Miller. He would actually box against Joshua, but tested positive at a doping test and had to surrender his boxing license.
