Zodwa Wabantu lay down on one knee at the weekend and proposed to her boyfriend identified as Ntobeko Linda and he said yes.
In a message on social media, Zodwa Wabantu said she is not afraid to tell her truth and that she is convinced that she would marry him.
“As women, we give our men money to marry us. Hard-working women hide that they marry themselves by giving their friends money to go to their families to pay Lobola,” wrote the South African dancer.
On Monday, Zodwa posted a photo of a ring that she had bought by herself and another ring that she had bought for her partner, along with an invoice of how much the rings cost.
Recall that last year, the Zambian authorities evicted the South African dancer from their territory. Famous for her exhibitions in daring outfits, her show was canceled because she dances without underwear.
“I can confirm that she was sent back to South Africa by the Immigration Department,” his agent Lucky Munakampe told AFP.
The previous year, censorship authorities in Zimbabwe banned Zodwa from dancing at a carnival, but they backed off their decision, allowing the dancer to perform on private premises.
