After nearly three years of fighting the divorce, actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can now officially call themselves single. A judge ruled yesterday that the two are allowed to go through life as a bachelor until the divorce is complete, several American media report based on legal documents. The divorce itself is therefore not yet complete.
Hollywood’s most famous ex-couple went to court to have their relationship status officially changed. Although Brad and Angelina are still negotiating hard about the custody of their six children and the distribution of household goods, they want to continue their lives. When the separation from ‘Brangelina’ will be officially complete is not yet clear.
The 43-year-old actress and the 55-year-old actor applied for divorce in 2016 after a two-year marriage. Together they have six children: Maddox (17), Pax (15), Zahara (14), Shiloh (12) and the 10-year-old twin Vivienne and Knox. The oldest three children have been adopted.
The two got to know each other on the set of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ (2005), where the spark broke while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Shortly after the breakup with Jennifer came out, Brad and Angelina revealed to be a couple. In January 2006 it was announced that the actress was expecting Shiloh.
