First time in a month, No new corona cases in Taiwan
On Tuesday, for the first time in over a month, Taiwan had no new corona cases to report. The measures taken by the country soon after the outbreak of coronavirus in Wuhan, China, seem to work with that.
For example, the country started measuring the temperature of travelers from that city immediately after the outbreak in Wuhan. That began on December 31st.
Taiwan has reported 393 corona infections so far. Of those, 338 were people who had contracted the disease abroad. Six people succumbed to the virus.
“Of course, we hope it’s over,” said Health Minister Chen Shih-chung.
“But we have to stay alert. Of course, we are glad that there are no new cases today.”
