Gambian MPs reject government bill

In the Gambia, the parliament inflicts a snub on the government of President Adama Barrow.

Gambian lawmakers rejected Thursday a draft budget law amending the 2018 budget.

Although they constitute the majority of the ruling coalition, Gambian parliamentarians say they refuse to approve $24 million of extra-budgetary spending two weeks before the official closure of the budget year.
