Has Davido cheated on Chioma? The controversy swells
Social media was flooded with comments and reactions after Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adedeji Adeleke, aka Davido, was spotted on Instagram with American model Mya Yafai. The images that spread like wildfire across social networks show that Davido is spending time in the Caribbean nation of Sint Maarten.
Is Davido unfaithful? As many Internet users have reacted to a new controversy over the Nigerian Afrobeats star, the answer is obvious. This was after Davido posted photos of himself on 26 February in a private jet indicating that he was on his way to the idyllic island, known for its lagoons, beaches and salt marshes: Sint Maarten.
On the American Instagram gossip page, “The Shaderoom” shared a video of Davido and Mya Yafai holding hands as they went out for a walk. Although the girl was wearing a mask while walking with Davido, the Instagram gossip blog recognized her from other social network postings.
Since the video was posted on the internet, social media was agitated, especially Twitter, as many wondered if Davido was still engaged to his partner Chioma. The two lovebirds had arranged a family presentation in September 2019 and were due to get married last year. The plan was flawed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Many turned to Twitter to express their concerns about Davido’s relationship with Chioma. “Davido was just helping a young woman cross the road. He even looked left and right for her safety. That’s all I saw in that video. Or was there something else?” Dr. Olufunmilayo wonders.
“Nothing can destroy a relationship without both people involved. We see Chioma and Davido’s story because one of them did something. Without social media, they will be living a lie… ”General Oluchi said. A lively controversy that was thus born.
Unnecessary noise
We recalled that in 2020, Chioma, who didn’t seem embarrassed by the rumours of alleged Davido’s infidelity as “unnecessary noise”. Adding that the older she gets, the more sensitive she becomes to noise. She wrote: “The older I get, the more sensitive to noise I am. I really get an altitude on unnecessary a noise.”
