Jose Mourinho speaks for the first time since his resignation at Man-U

José Mourinho reacted today to Sky Sports about his resignation from Manchester United. The Portuguese still believed to have his place in top football.

“Just like Manchester United has a future without me, I have it without them”, Mourinho explained to his place of residence in London. The Portuguese hid his head under a cap. “I do not want to share my feelings with you. It is just over. You know me well enough, I do not change anymore. I have not changed since I left Chelsea, I will not do it now.”

‘Game over’

“I remember the beautiful moments and will not expose the club’s internal kitchen,” continued Mourinho. “Certain things did not go well, but it is not for me to bring them out. In the past I have always been critical of managers who left their club and then went to hang out the dirty laundry. I say ‘game over’. I hope the media accept this reaction. Before I return to football, I want to live a normal life. I want to be able to take a walk undisturbed and go shopping. Manchester United is the past.”

Yesterday Manchester United said goodbye to 55-year-old Mourinho. The club of Red Devils Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini is only in sixth place in the Premier League. United lost the topper against Liverpool 3-1 on Sunday, which put the gap at the leader of the Premier League up to nineteen points. The Norwegian former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was meanwhile appointed as the new head coach. He signed an agreement until the end of the season.
