SEN’EAU says there will be disruptions in water distribution in Dakar
SEN’EAU announced that the drinking water distribution service in Dakar, its suburbs, Rufisque, and its surroundings will be disrupted this Thursday, August 22, 2024.
According to a press release from SEN’EAU, these disruptions are due to work to renew strategic equipment on the Lac de Guiers NO.1 supply pipeline, which will begin at 3 p.m.
These works will reduce water pressure or even eliminate water in certain areas, particularly in Rufisque and its surroundings and in Dakar and its suburbs.
SEN’EAU predicts that the situation will gradually return to normal on the morning of Friday, August 23, 2024.
To mitigate the impacts of these disruptions, SEN’EAU has planned to deploy a system of tanker trucks to provide water to populations in the most affected neighborhoods.
