Ten deaths at landslide in Brazil
At a landslide in Niteroi, a suburb of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, ten people were killed on Saturday. Four people are also missing, according to the local authorities reports.
About nine houses and a restaurant in the town were dragged along when a piece of the hill called Boa Esperanca slide down. The incident happened during the night.
The landslide is probably the result of heavy rain. According to the head of the fire department, the inhabitants of Niteroi were asked to find a safer place to stay. The emergency services are able to free eleven people, three victims are in the hospital. In addition, eleven bodies were also salvaged. Four people are still missing.
About 200 members of fire brigade and military police continue the search for survivors.
