US embassy Nigeria reacts to visa denial to bishop Oyedepo

The Embassy of the United States in Nigeria has reacted to the viral information circulating in Nigeria of rejecting Bishop Oyedepo, a visa application.

On their Facebook page, the U.S. embassy warned of a “False News Alert!”. The body informed the people of Nigerians to “be advised” on “the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Bishop Oyedepo are false”.

“If you have seen this manufactured item in the media, help defeat this misinformation by communicating to everyone that it is completely false,” the message sounded.

It is reported earlier that Oyedepo has been denied a visa application from the US embassy according to News Media “This Day”.

Nigerians find it difficult in getting visa approval. However, sources suggested that the famous preacher may have made calls to people who would intervene on his behalf and the visa finally issued.
