Wild elephant tramples woman in Nepal
In Nepal, a 23-year-old woman was trampled by a wild elephant on Sunday evening. She was on her way home from work.
In the Nepali village of Thori, a 23-year-old girl was killed on Sunday evening after a collision with a wild elephant. When she walked home from work, the wild animal trampled her.
The incident took place at a stone’s throw from the nature reserve Chitwan. The animal has probably escaped from that park.
Besides elephants there are also tigers, leopards and bison in that nature reserve. In recent years there have been more incidents with wild animals that managed to escape. In Nepal people are wondering how safe the lives of the local residents of those parks are.
